I have suffered with hayfever for many many years. I used to think to myself, maybe it will get better as I get older...but it didn't. I could never leave the house without tissues. I was tired, depressed and my social life suffered. I tried over the counter medication, natural medicines and acupuncture, but nothing worked for the long term. My child suffered from eczema from the age of six months. We tried a wide variety of treatments and creams with little effect. Sometimes she would scratch until she bled and developed an infection requiring antibiotics. By the time she was 9 years old we were desperate. I have a long history of severe hayfever having suffered significant symptoms since the age of two. I have consulted many specialists and endured many treatments along the way, including two courses of desensitising injections which resulted both times in my being admitted to hospital with breathing difficulties. Following a course of desensitising homeopathic remedies recommended by Shanagh, I noticed results almost immediately and was able this Christmas to spend time in Melbourne for the first time ever without experiencing a single symptom of my allergies(which used to include fatigue, itchy eyes and nose, sinus headaches and mild asthma) I have also been able to overcome an extreme allergy to Grevillea (I used to break out in a severe and extremely itchy rash with just the slightest contact) and can now have contact with the plant without any reaction at all. My son aged 3 ½ years is being treated successfully by Shanagh for a number of auditory processing and language related problems. However the most dramatic impact was the results achieved through allergy desensitisation. Whilst I admit to a degree of scepticism when we went home armed with bottles of what my son called "fairy drops", the results were nothing short of spectacular. He no longer had bright red cheeks and the pre school director asked me on her return from a 6 week vacation. "How did you get him to stop that constant nose wiping?" I was Shanagh's first client when she did the allergy training in 2001.At that time I suffered severe hayfever symptoms requiring daily doses of Rhinacort, Sudafed and Antihistamines plus Paracetamol for frequent headaches. Within a few weeks on treatment I no longer required any of these medications for 5 months.
